Twenty-eight additional bouts unfolded during today’s afternoon session, covering the Women’s 54kg and 57kg categories, as well as the Men’s 63.5kg, 71kg, and 92kg weight classes.

In the Women’s 54kg division, Chile’s “La Tigresa” Denisse Bravo faced a tough challenge against Tokyo 2020 bronze medalist Huang Hsiao Wen from Chinese Taipei. Bravo struggled as Wen asserted control over the bout, executing a tactical display that secured her a commanding 5-0 victory.

Another Tokyo 2020 Olympian, Im Aeji of Korea, encountered a formidable opponent in Denmark’s Melissa Mortensen. Despite a strong start from Mortensen in the third round, Aeji’s early advantage proved insurmountable, securing her the win by 3:2 split decision.

Lucie Horvath Sedlackova of the Czech Republic showcased her dominance against Hungary’s Szabina Szucs, delivering an impressive performance highlighted by powerful punches. Sedlackova’s display forced the referee to halt the contest in round two, declaring her as the winner.

Meanwhile, Dominican Republic’s Miguelina Hernandez Garcia faced a tough match against Morocco’s Nisrine Amine. Despite Garcia’s strong counterattacks in the second round, Amine’s determination shone through, leading to her advancement in the Women’s 57kg event. In a match-up between rising stars, Alyssa Mendoza of the United States overwhelmed Japan’s Satsuki Yoshizawa, prompting the referee to stop the contest in the second round.

In the Men’s 63.5 kg class, Colombian Jose Manuel Viafara Fory narrowly edged out Filipino talent Mark Ashley Fajardo in a closely contested battle, securing a 3:2 split decision victory. Asadkhuja Muydinkhujayev of Uzbekistan lived up to expectations, advancing in the Men’s 71kg class after an exceptional performance against Germany’s Magomed Elim Sultanovic Schachidov. Jordan’s Zeyad Eashash impressed with his solid punches, forcing the referee to stop the contest against Ronald Jr. Chavez of the Philippines in the first round.

In the Men’s 92 kg event, Uzbekistan’s Lazizbek Mullojonov showcased exceptional skill, securing a RSC victory over Darius Voisnarovi of Lithuania in the second round. Georgian Georgii Kushitashvili dominated his round-of-16 match against Belgium’s Victor Schelstraete, earning a commanding 3-0 win. The session concluded with an exciting bout between two Cuban-born boxers: Tokyo 2020 bronze medalist Loren Berto Alfonso Dominguez representing Azerbaijan and 2023 European Games bronze medalist Enmanuel Reyes Pla representing Spain. In the first round, Dominguez controlled the rhythm of the match and kept his opponent at a distance, earning the favor of all the judges. The counterattack of Reyes Pla, moving around the ring with a dodge-and-hit style resembling the Cuban school, helped him to take the second and third rounds, ultimately claiming the victory with a scoreline of 3-0.
